Callingwood Houses

There are a total of four communities in the Callingwood, west Edmonton Area - Callingwood North, Callingwood South, Lymburn and Ormsby Place. Purchasing a house in this part of West Edmonton has several benefits due to the location, including the close proximaty to West Edmonton Mall, Jamie Platz Recreation Centre, the Callingwood's, west Edmonton library, the Callingwood Market Place, Misericordia Hospital, ample community parks, Anthony Henday and Whitemud.
A large percentage of Crestwood area houses offer spectaular river valley and ravine scenery only a few minutes west of the city core. These houses will be found along Riverside Drive, Valleyview Drive, Ravine Drive and especially on Summit Pointe, just off of Summit Drive. Buena vista Road divides Laurier Park and Parkview homes. Every house in this part of West Edmonton is unique in its own way from brand new modern houses to mature single family character homes. With the exception of the University of Alberta area, this district offers some of the best real estate within city limits. The Crestwood Area encompasses Glenora, Parkview, Crestwood and Laurier Heights in central west Edmonton
Located in west Edmonton, Houses for sale in the Grange are bounded by 215 Street to the west, a combination of 45 Avenue and Lessard Road to the south, Anthony Henday Drive and Whitemud Drive to the north. The area is bisected by Guardian Road and 62 Avenue. When houses were first constructed in the Grange, it was West Edmonton's hottest real estate. The demand was so high, builders had a hard time keeping up, thus creating an over surplus of young families without adequate education facilities. Today, there have been two additional elementary schools added to the Grange. The Grange consists of three communities which area Granville, Glastonbury and The Hamptons.

Houses for sale in the Grovenor Area are located in the central north portion of West Edmonton located between Glenora, Crestwood and Jasper Place districts. Between 142 Street and 156 Street to Stony Plain Road near MacKinnon Ravine and 111 Avenue NW. The majority of houses in this area are still older single family bungalow style houses with a mix of walk up condominiums. Over the last decade, due to the lot sizes in the Grovenor district, more of these houses are being restored or torn down and replaced with newer houses, duplex homes, four-plexes and Infills. The Grovenor area includes the communities of Britannia-Youngstown, Canora, Grovenor, High Park, Mayfield and McQueen.

Jasper Place Houses

There are a total of eight communities in the Jasper Place, west Edmonton Area - Elmwood, Glenwood, Jasper Park, Lynnwood, Meadowlark Park, Sherwood, West Jasper Place and West Meadowlark Park.  The majority of houses in the Jasper Place are still the original single family detached bungalow style houses. However over the last decade, many of these houses are now being replaced with newer duplex style homes. Benefits of living in Jasper Place include the close proximaty to both Meadowlark shopping Centre and West Edmonton Mall, Misericordia Hospital, Jasper Place Fitness and Leisure Centre and the short commute to downtown Edmonton.
There are six communities in the Lessard Area - Gariepy, Dechene, Donsdale, Wedgewood Heights, Cameron Heights and Jamieson Place.  The majority of houses in the Lessard area are move up, up-scale and luxury houses, located in West Edmonton. Real Estate Prices vary in each area. Jamieson Place, sometimes reffered to as "Lessard" is the least expensive and Cameron Heights, the newest district, the most expensive.There are twomain reasons in the varience of lessard area prices. First is of course the, age and size of the property. Secondly is the location. Many of the houses in West Edmonton, especially in the Lessard area feature some of our cities most beautiful scenery.
There are seven communities in Lewis Estates - Breckenridge Greens, Potter Greens, Rosenthal, Secord, Stewart Greens, Suder Greens and Webber Greens.  The majority of houses in the Lewis Estates are move up and up-scale houses, located in West Edmonton within walking distance to the popular Lewis Estates Golf Course. This part of west edmonton is popular for the baby boomers with it's close amenities in the Grange, the social retirement condominiums, walking paths, the 18 hole golf course and the proximity of both West Edmonton Mall and the Misericordia Hospital.
There are five communities in West Edmonton, Rio Terrace district including Patricia Heights, Rio Terrace, Oleskiw, Quesnell Heights and Westridge. Houses for sale in the Rio Terrace area are older, more mature up-scale and luxury homes. Living in this part of West Edmonton offers many benefits and features. One of the main benefits is the proximity to two of the main roads in Edmonton - the Anthony Henday and the Whitemud. Features of the Rio Terrace area include a number of single family houses which overlook the North Saskatchewan River which runs along Rio Terrace Drive and Quesnell Cresent, as well as many houses which back onto the ravines along Patricia Drive and Westridge Road. Another main attraction in the Rio Terrace area is the exclusive Westridge Wolf Willow Country Club.

West Edmonton Mall Area Houses

The West Edmonton Mall area includes houses for sale in Aldergrove, Belmead, La Perle, Thorncliffe and Summerlea. The majority of the single family homes closest to West Edmonton Mall consist of bungalow style houses which were constructed during a real estate boom in Edmonton during the 1970's. Here you will also find a few half duplexes which makes for an excellent choice when purchasing revenue properties. Other houses near West Edmonton Mall in Belmead, La Perle and Summerlea are a mix of two story homes and split level houses built in the 1980's. Some of these houses have tiny back yards and others massive.
