About Griesbach Edmonton

Griesbach is part of the Castledowns area in north west Edmonton and was formerly a military base. Today the Canadian Force Base Garrison is located further north on Valour Avenue. Griesbach is a slow developing neighborhood due to its strict building codes and guidelines with both Griesbach condominiums and Griesbach Houses. You will not find the same house side by side and the buiders must complete the front landscaping along with the mandatory front yard tree. Each of the streets in Griesbach have been named after a fameous Military Member. Real estate in Griesbach prior to and during Edmonton's last real estate boom was the "hottest" place to live in Edmonton. When Griesbach was first developed, it catered to an elite purchaser.
