East Edmonton is divided into three estate zone diistricts and seventeen real estate communities. The majory of home owners on the east side of Edmonton are property owners who have grown up in these districts. Due to the mature landscaping, low crime rate and propximatey to Edmonton's downtown core, homes in east Edmonton have always been high in demand.
Includes homes for sale in Argyll, Avonmore, Hazeldean, King Edward Park and Ritchie. These homes are located between the two branches of the Mill Creek Ravine. Most homes in the Argyll area were constructed between the end of World War II and 1970. Almost all the residences in the neighbourhood are single family dwellings.

The neighbourhood is also home to one of Edmonton's first major shopping malls, Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre.
