Falconer Heights runs along Rabbit Hill Road, Riverbend Road and Terwillegar Drive and forms part of the Riverbend Area. The southern boundary is defined by a private utility right-of-way, which separates Falconer Heights from the Haddow neighbourhood to the south. Homes in Falconer Heights Edmonton are a mix of about 50 percent single-detached houses and 50 percent duplexes, townhomes and condominiums.
A natural area, which features a mature tree stand, was preserved as a park in the southeast corner of Falconer Heights. There are also two elementary schools located nearby in the Rhatigan Ridge area to the north. In the northeast portion of Falconer Heights, the Riverbend Square commercial area provides a range of shops and services, including a major supermarket chain.
Falconer Heights was named after James F. Falconer, who was involved in the formation of Edmonton’s Names Advisory Committee in the mid 1950s and who served on the committee until 1979. Mr. Falconer was also a school board trustee, and served on various city boards and civic committees for 27 years.
