Most homes in Delwood Edmonton are mature detached houses built in the 1960s. Delwood borders 137 Ave., 82 Street, 132 Ave. 66 Street. The nearby Belvedere district provides commercial amenities along Fort Road and the Belvedere Light Rail Transit station, is located directly east of Delwood.

Delwood has existed since the early 1900s and was likely named in honour of Edward Delegare “Del” Grierson, a prominent land owner and politician. Delwood replaced the old subdivision names of Industrial Centre, Queen’s Park, and East Delton.
